Who We Are
About Sonic Menu Guide
We are a small, independent team of fast-food fans who got tired of hunting for Sonic prices across outdated PDFs and blurry photos. So we built the clean, honest menu guide we always wished existed, and we keep it free for everyone.

Our Story
Why We Built This Site
My name is Calypso Winterfield, and this is a one person project rather than a company. It started with a small annoyance: I wanted to know what a Sonic order would actually cost before I got to the stall, and every site I checked either quoted one price for the whole country or had clearly copied it from somewhere else that had.
That is the part worth explaining, because it is the reason this site exists. Sonic drive-ins are independently owned and set their own prices, so there is no such thing as "the price" of a Cherry Limeade. Any page that gives you one number without saying where it came from is guessing, and once I started comparing them against each other it was obvious how many were guessing.
So I built this around real store level data instead: 3,357 drive-ins, 165 items, 513 individual size and price rows, and 17,830 per state price records. Every figure on the site is calculated from that, which is why you get a median and a range rather than a single confident number that cannot be true everywhere.
It is used now by people checking before a drive, parents working out a Wacky Pack run, and anyone trying to get the most out of Happy Hour. The goal has not changed: know exactly what you are getting, and what it will cost, before you pull up.
Our Process
How We Keep Our Information Accurate
Accuracy is the whole point of a menu guide, so it is worth being specific about where the numbers come from rather than just promising they are good.
Prices are not typed in. They are calculated from Sonic's own store level records, and the figure you see for an item is the median across every drive-in that sells it. A median rather than an average on purpose: airport and turnpike locations charge far more than the rest, and an average lets a handful of them drag the number up for everybody. Most item pages also show the full range underneath, so you can see how much a price really moves between locations.
The whole dataset is rebuilt weekly. Prices, calorie counts, size availability and store details all refresh in the same pass, so nothing on the site is older than anything else. New items appear and discontinued ones drop out automatically, which is how a limited time drink stops being listed once it has gone.
Some things are deliberately absent. If a figure is not in the data, the page says so instead of estimating: there is no bagged ice price quoted as though it were measured, no invented promo codes, and no holiday opening times we cannot stand behind. When something here has been corrected, it is because a reader pointed it out or a check caught it, and both happen.
What We Stand For
Our Editorial Standards
Numbers Come From Data, Not Guesses
Every price here is calculated from Sonic's own store level records across 3,357 drive-ins, not typed in by hand or copied from another site. Where something is not in that data, the page says so rather than filling the gap with a guess.
Written for Real People
We write the way we would explain the menu to a friend in the car, not in stiff corporate language. Every description, tip, and answer is meant to actually help you decide what to order.
Completely Independent
We are not owned by, paid by, or partnered with Sonic. That means we can point out the best value picks and the items to skip without anyone telling us what to say.
Free and Open to Everyone
There is no paywall, no account, and no email required to read anything here. The site is supported by simple ads so the menu stays free for every visitor who needs it.

Good to Know
About This Site: FAQs
Who writes this site?
Calypso Winterfield. It is a one person project rather than a company, which is why the site says we in a few places and I in others, and why corrections tend to land the same day they are reported.
Is this the official Sonic Drive-In website?
No. Sonic Menu Guide is an independent, fan-run reference site. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Sonic Drive-In or its parent company. For official ordering and nutrition data, always visit sonicdrivein.com.
Are the prices on this site exact?
They are medians, not quotes. Sonic drive-ins are independently operated and set their own prices, so a single number cannot be right everywhere. Each price here is the middle value across every drive-in that sells the item, and most item pages also show the full range so you can see how much it moves. Confirm the final amount with your local Sonic before you order.
How often do you update the menu?
Weekly. The whole dataset is rebuilt from source every week, so prices, calorie counts and item availability all refresh together rather than page by page. New items appear and discontinued ones drop out in the same pass, which is why you should not find something here that Sonic has stopped selling.
How does Sonic Menu Guide make money?
The site is free to use and is supported by advertising. Ad revenue covers our costs and lets us keep every page open to everyone without a paywall. Ads never change what we write about the menu.
Spotted a Price That Looks Off?
We would genuinely like to hear about it. Corrections from readers are one of the ways we keep the guide accurate, and every message helps.
